Ernesto L. "Neto" Acosta

Ernesto L. “Neto” Acosta, 77, of Ortega Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at home. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-7:00 PM, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, Mew Mexico with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ernesto L. “Neto” Acosta was born April 27, 1944 in Loving, New Mexico to Felipe and Mariana (Lara) Acosta. Ernesto married Elida H. Acosta on October 5, 1962, and they began their family of six children. Ernesto was preceded in death by his wife: Elida H. Acosta; parents: Felipe and Mariana Acosta; sisters: Elva, Dora, Elva, Anita and Mary; brothers: Cruz, Emilio and infant brother Ernesto; infant daughter: Peggy Acosta and infant grandson: Brandon Ebare. Survivors are sons: Ernesto Jr., Leroy and wife, Yolanda, Daniel and wife, Jovita, and Paul. Daughters: Grace and husband, Kevin and Stacy and husband, Robert; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Aaron Acosta, Alex Acosta, Matthew Acosta, Ryan Acosta, Noah Acosta and Kevin Ebare. Honorary pallbearers are Robert H. Valenzuela II, Amber Sanchez, Sabrina Acosta, Kaila Ebare, Jessica Ebare, Lysette Valenzuela, Erlyn Acosta and Zoe Acosta. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
