Most of all, I will remember Dot's laugh! She was a true light, and I loved it when we got to visit with her and Gary. I feel lucky that she taught me to make her awesome red chile enchiladas, and I will continue to think of her as my sauce simmers each and every time. Dot and Gary share a true love story. May countless happy memories give you peace, dear cousin!

With the passing of our beloved Dot, we have all suffered a great loss but specially Gary, Lisa, and family. What a remarkable, wonderful person she was here on earth, but heaven and God have gained a very special angel.

We all have many memories of good/great times together; I'd like to share my most favorite one with you. Gary and Dot came to visit Ray and I; of course, the only acceptable menu for such a "gathering" was Dot's delicious Mexican food (a must for the Mafit and Perkowski families). Dot decided that Rebecca (my sister) and I had to contribute in a small way, so she taught us how to make flour tortillas in my kitchen; we blew the circuit breaker several times using multiple electric skillets but best of all, we used my tortillas as frisbees. Our dog chased them all over the yard and a few went into the pool creating a gooey mess. I don't ever remember laughing as much or as hard as that day. I hope everyone's memories are as special. She will not be forgotten nor will those special moments spent with her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gary and all who loved her.

Gary and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Dot will always be remembered for her care and concern for all and how her eyes would light up with her wit. She was lovely inside and out. May the good Lord comfort and be with you and yours.
