Dean McAlister of Standpipe Rd in Carlsbad passed away in Lubbock on April 29 2021 at the age of 88 and after a full life.

He was born August 7, 1932 in Kiowa, OK. After growing up through the Great Depression and World War II, he entered into full-time ministry in the 1950s and continued through the mid-1990s. Following retirement, he continued to be very active with many friends and pursuits.
Dean was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clarence and Imogene Lewis and sister, Norma Wood.
He is survived by his brother Dale Lewis, son Dean McAlister II, and grandsons, Joshua, Jacob, and Jonathan McAlister.
The memorial service will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the 9th & Missouri Street Church of God in Carlsbad. Interment will take place at a private family ceremony in Mesa, AZ.

Brother Mac, was my childhood/ into adulthood pastor. He had such Godly wisdom and always spread Cheer and joy wherever he was. He had a shepherds heart. He will be missed for sure! May the Lord comfort his family and give them strength and peace during this difficult time.
