Zelma Bradley, 83, of E. Plum Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Veilleux and Terry McKean officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Zelma Bradley was born May 4, 1932 in Mayhill, New Mexico to Elza and Wilma (Scott) Brantley and moved to Carlsbad with her parents in the 4th grade. She married Walter Bradley March 10, 1948 here in Carlsbad. Zelma was an excellent seamstress. She was always involved in her children's many activities including cub scouts, campfire, room mother at school, little league and softball. In later years, Zelma continued being active in her grandchildren's activities. Her hobbies included reading, traveling and baking. Zelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Bradley; grandson, Josh Owen and brothers: E.J. and Ralph Brantley.
Survivors are her son, Walter "Dean" Bradley and wife, Sue of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Koni Kidner and husband, Richard of Plano, Texas, Susan Owen and husband, John of Carlsbad, NM, Carol Titus and husband, Dale of Amarillo, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Trey Owen, Mark Bond, Joey Sullivan, Brice Bradley, Blaine Bradley, Brandon Alexander, Matt Riker and Kyle Cain.
