Yolanda Blair

Yolanda Franco Blair, 38, of Greene Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at University New Mexico Hosital, Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2015 and will continue 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Sunset Church of Christ with Andy Burns and Mike Veilleux officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Yolanda Franco Blair was born September 17, 1976 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Jimmy and Linda (Lawrence) Franco. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1995. Yolanda married Kevin Blair on May 11, 1999. She worked as a waitress for many years at several restaurants including Denny's, Elks Lodge and Dottie Dee's. Yolanda also worked as a substitute teacher for several years. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. Yolanda cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her kids and grandson. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Survivors are her husband, Kevin G. Blair of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Megan Franco of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Logan Bennett of Carlsbad, NM, Austin Blair of Carlsbad, NM; grandson, Jordan Cabezuela; parents: Jimmy and Linda Franco of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Lavanda Franco of Portales, NM; brother, Jimmy Franco, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Franco, Jr., Martin Lawrence, Michael Lawrence, Rick Encinias, Anthony Betancourt and Moses Rodriguez. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
