Woodrow H. "Woody" Sells, 95, of Pecos River Drive, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at his home.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 10, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David W. Rogers officiating.
Masonic Service will be performed by Eddy Lodge # 21 AF&AM. A Lodge of Sorrow will convene at 1:30 PM, Friday, August 10, 2012 at Eddy 21, 513 N. Canyon Street, Carlsbad, NM.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.

Woodrow H. "Woody" Sells was born on December 14, 1916, in Merna, NE to Anthony and Lillian (Ferguson) Sells. He married Margaret Ryman on December 16, 1941 in Merna, NE. Woody served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had a long time career with Burlington Railroad, serving over 42 years. Woody recently received his 60-year pin as a Masonic Lodge member. His hobbies included bowling, golfing, woodworking and fishing. Woody was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: George Virgil and Raymond Sells; and sisters: Viola Maddoux and Mabel Arthur.
Survivors are his wife, Margaret L. "Peggy" Sells of Carlsbad, NM; son, Larry Sells and wife, Becky of Carlsbad, NM; two grandsons: Todd Sells and wife, Joy of Eureka, MT, Lance Sells and wife, Kristin of Guinea, Africa; four great-grandchildren: Mikala Sells, Michelle Sells, Alexander Sells and Cassandra Sells and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Todd Sells, Larry Henderson, Jerry Spinks, Rick Coy, Lee Post and Stewart Earl. Honorary pallbearer will be Ken Nelson.
