Windham Floyd Wright, Jr., 64, of Avenue A, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his home.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, June 20, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Prell officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Windham Floyd Wright, Jr. was born September 28, 1949 in Humboldt, Tennessee to Windham Floyd and Evelyn M. (Philpot) Wright, Sr. He attended school in Tupelo, Mississippi. Windham went to work for his future father-in-law in 1977, where he met Bonita Barton and they were married on December 30, 1977 in Pontotoc, Mississippi. Windham and Bonita moved to Carlsbad in 1979 for Windham to go to work for IMC. He thoroughly enjoyed his 34 years of service at Mosaic. Windham loved movies, music and tinkering. He could often times be found working on cars, motors and anything else that needed to be repaired. Windham absolutely adored his 3 granddaughters and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Windham Floyd Wright, Sr.
Survivors are his wife, Bonita Barton Wright of Carlsbad, NM; son, Justin Barton Wright and wife, Stephanie of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Rachel Wright Spindle and husband, Joseph of Albuquerque, NM; mother, Evelyn Wright of Plantersville, Mississippi; grandchildren: Laynie Jo Burnell, Isabella Paisley Wright, Marley Louise Spindle and father and mother-in-law, Edgar and Martha Jo Barton of Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Honorary pallbearers are Edgar Barton, Dan Pike, Justin Wright, Joseph Spindle, Sam French and Roger Barton.
