Willine Adams, 91, former resident, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015 at her daughters home in Fort Worth, Texas. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, July 10, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, New Mexico with Jerry Andrews officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Willine Adams was born in Morriston, Arkansas on December 14, 1923 to Thomas Grant and Maude (Montgomery) Andrews. Her family soon moved to Hagerman, New Mexico where she was raised on her father's farm with her sister and three brothers. After graduation from high school she attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Willine married Bill Adams in December 1941. After the war she and Bill moved to Carlsbad where they lived for 62 years and raised their three children. During those years she owned a children's resale shop and worked at the Living Desert State Park. Bill and Willine were members of the Sunset Church of Christ and they formed many close friendships through their church, work, and school activities. Willine was a devoted Christian who made her family her first priority. Willine was a loving Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and she will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Adams; her granddaughter, Shelly Palmer; her parents, Thomas Grant Andrews and Maude Montgomery Andrews; her brothers, Lowell Andrews, Archie Andrews, and Lindell Andrews; and her sister, Phyllis Andrews Tunnell. Survivors are her daughters: Brenda Kay Hunt of Ft Worth, TX, Mary Evans and husband, Ken of Ft Worth, TX; son, Lane Adams and his wife Terrie of Ruidoso, NM; granddaughter, Shawna VanNoy; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn VanNoy and great- great-granddaughter, Bentley all of Ft Worth, TX. Pallbearers will be Mike Hudson, Tom Andrews, Zach Andrews, Jay Andrews, Melvin Banister and Shane Garner. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project Fund, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 the Mountain View Christian Camp c/o Church of Christ, 1308 West Blodgett Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220 or the charity of your choice.
