William "Bill" Henry See

William “Bill” Henry See, 80, of Southwind Road Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born on September 9, 1940, in Prescott, Arizona to Norman and Mary See.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. COVID restrictions of five people at a time and wearing of masks will be required. Later the family will have private services at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of making arrangements.

Bill started school in a one room country school in Yarber Wash, Arizona. He then graduated from Prescott High School in 1958, and then with his Bachelor’s Degree from ASU in 1962. He then started his family and his career. After several jobs, he started working as a Field Office Manager at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he worked for 31 years until retiring. Bill was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, National Rifles Association, North American Hunting Club, and Arbor Day Foundation. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, raising horses, and doing consulting work. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially loving on his grandchildren. Bill will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Norman See; mother, Mary See; wife, Virginia A. See; son, Dean William See; brother, Raymond See; and two sisters, Norma Henager and Mary Sibley.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Marlena Pell of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren: James Dean Pell, Melena Carrasco and husband Jerry Carrasco Jr., and Emma Pell; one great-granddaughter, Elena Carrasco; sister, Janet Hudson and husband, Bill of Yarber Wash, AZ; brother-in-law, Gus Phillips and wife, Charlsa of Pine, AZ; brother-in-law, Ben Henager of Pine, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
