William "Paul" Coor, 83, of Hopi Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, left this earthly life to claim his promise of an eternal life with God on Thursday, July 16, 2015.
There will be no visitaiton, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Ryan officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
William "Paul" Coor was born March 9, 1932 in Welch, Texas to I.V. and May (Barton) Coor. He moved to Weed, NM with his parents as a young boy and later on to the Artesia area. Paul married Ora Lee Smith June 15, 1952 in Lake Arthur. He served his country in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Paul went to work for Southern Union Gas Company in 1955 and retired with PNM after 36 years of service. He enjoyed coaching little league, playing fast pitch softball, woodworking and hunting. Paul's greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Pat Coor and sister, Lillie Forister.
Survivors are his wife, Ora Lee Coor of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Roy Coor and wife, Debbie of Artesia, NM, Alan Coor and wife, Debra of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: David Coor and wife, Amy, Tami Alexander and husband, Jason, Noel Coor and wife, Mandie, Kasi Ryan and husband, Wes; great-grandchildren: Adam, Kayden, Kylee, Camdon, Wyatt, Cash and Macy; siblings: H.L. Coor, Marvin Coor and wife, Garcie, Bettie Jean Magill and husband, James, Ray Coor and wife, Johnnie and numerous nieces and nephews.
