William E. Barrett

William E. Barrett, 48, of San Jose Blvd., Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at his home. There will be no visitation, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for December 17, 2012, Monday, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean of Lakeview Christian Home Hospice, officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. William E. Barrett was born July 18, 1964 in Oakland, California to William and Rose (Santos) Barrett. He thoroughly enjoyed being with his children and grandson. Bill was always the life of the party, continually making everyone laugh. He regularly said, "I come from the place where legends are made." Bill will be dearly missed. Survivors are two daughters: Shayna Barrett of Carlsbad, NM, Rhianna Barrett of Hayward, CA; son, Joshua Musgrove of Carlsbad, NM; grandson, Gonzalo Rodriguez, III; companion, Je'Anna Roeper of Carlsbad, NM; mother, Rose Santos Barrett of Hayward, CA; father, William Barrett of Ft. Worth, TX; four brothers: Johnny of Hayward, CA, Jimmy Barrett of Hayward, CA, Mike Barrett of California, Jeremy Barrett of Ft. Worth, TX; sister, Kathy Barrett of Union City, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Shayna Barrett and Joshua Musgrove. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
