William "Bill" A. Cunningham

William A. "Bill" Cunningham, 64, of Fleetwood Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation; cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, January 29, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Tarvin officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. William A. "Bill" Cunningham was born October 6, 1951 in Carlsbad, NM to Houston and Leita (Camp) Cunningham. He worked in the oil field before going to work in the potash mines for a number of years. Bill later worked as a truck driver and retired from B.E.S. He enjoyed cooking, race horses and fishing, but most of all spending time with his family. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Cunningham and Dale Cunningham and best friend, Jamie Lopez. Survivors are his wife, Teri Cunningham of Carlsbad, NM; son, Jason Cunningham of Carlsbad, NM daughter, Rebecca Doporto and husband, J.R. of Carlsbad, NM; stepsons, Daniel Dickinson of Carlsbad, NM, Jeried Ward of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Brandon Cunningham, Brittney Cunningham, Summer Estrada, Dylan Doporto, Jaya Doporto, Reagan Doporto, Jon-Michael Dickinson and James Ward; siblings: Mary Ray of Aztec, NM, Malcolm Cunningham and wife, Norma of Carlsbad, NM, Danny Cunningham of Hobbs, NM, Linda Berreras and husband, Joe of Albuquerque, NM, David Cunningham of Carlsbad, NM and numerous nieces and nephews Honorary pallbearers are John Cunningham, Justin Cunningham, Brandon Cunningham and Dylan Doporto.
