William Dean Bailey

William Dean Bailey, 77, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away June 5, 2013 in Belville, Texas. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2013, 10:30 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. William Dean Bailey was born November 3, 1935 in Carlsbad, NM to Lawrence and Olive Bailey. He was raised in Carlsbad and as a teenager William worked at National Livestock in Queens. William loved his country and proudly served in the Navy for 39 years. He retired as a CWO on USS Independence. William was a master mason. He enjoyed and loved the cowboy life and was an excellent horse and mule trainer. William enjoyed traveling in his motorhome and visiting with family and friends. Going to class reunions, were very important to him. More than anything Pawpa Bailey loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandgirls. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two daughters: Diane Louallen of Ozark, MO, Linda Carter of Carlsbad, NM; son, William "Bill" Dean Bailey, Jr. of Sacramento, CA; grandchildren: Jamie Carter and Justin Campbell of Carlsbad, NM, Courtney Louallen and Bailey Louallen of Ozark, MO, Liam Bailey of Sacramento, CA and great-grandchildren: Emaree and Rylan.
