Wilburn “Will” McCullough, 97, of Carlsbad, NM passed away July 7, 2022 at his daughter’s home in Carlsbad. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Davis and Pastor Mark Christesson officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery and Carlsbad Veteran Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Will was born February 26, 1925 in Pitkin, LA to Allen and Epsy (Carruth) McCullough. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Will married Betty Jean West March 23, 1956 here in Carlsbad. He began work at IMC in 1954, retiring as chemical plant supervisor in 1987. Will enjoyed camping, traveling, woodworking, but most importantly winning souls for Christ and sharing the plan of salvation. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Jean McCullough; daughter, Linda Carter; grandson, Russ Wilson; one sister and six brothers.
Survivors include son, Lee McCullough and Teri Thomas; daughters, Kathy Wilson and husband Randy, Karen Christesson and husband Mark, Lisa Wray and Alicia Ramirez and husband Joe; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Ollie Mae Hutchinson and husband Jimmie; sister-in-law, Glenda West and numerous nieces and nephews.
