Wayne Whitlock

Derral "Wayne" Whitlock, 74, of Carlsbad, NM, preceded in death by his father Wayne Calentine of Carlsbad and Margie Lyle of Ruidoso. Wayne met his Lord on January 22, 2014 and is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Jeanne. He is also survived by his sisters: Anita Bedingfield and Della Calentine; brothers: Wayne Calentine Jr. and Kelly Wayne Allen, his three sons: John, Wade and Micah and their families. He was Grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 2 and was loved by dozens of other family members and friends. Wayne was a New Mexico native, grew up in Ruidoso, later worked for NASA's Gemini and Apollo missions, owned a real estate company, and retired as a registered nurse after 15 years. Wayne had a passion for his Lord Jesus, all things outdoors, including hiking, hunting and fishing at Elephant Butte with all his loved ones.
