Warren D. Bounds

Warren D. Bounds, 101, of West Cherry Lane, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be next to his wife on the family ranch at a later time. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Warren D. Bounds was born in Belton, Texas on September 26, 1910 to Jesse Monroe and Emma (Ross) Bounds. He spent his life farming and ranching and providing for his family. He was the most loving, caring, devoted dad and grandfather. He was an exceptional man. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at "Good Life" for the comfort and care shown during his time there. He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Ruby Maples Bounds in 1996; grandson, David Paul Beedle in 1975 and three great-grandsons: Douglas Richard Smith, Christopher James Luhrs and James Brandon Bounds. Survivors are his son, Cecil D. Bounds and wife, Betty of Black River, NM; daughter, June Nichols and husband, Kenneth of Carlsbad, NM; six grandchildren: Brenda Swartz and husband, Jack, Debrah Modrall and husband, Bobby, Barbara Sherrell and husband, Jimmy, Betty Goeke, James Bounds and Cecilia McIlwee and husband, Kevin; 25 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchldren.
