Vivian "Vivi" Lopez

Obituary Vivian Vivi Lopez, 64, of W. London Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 5:00 PM 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving followed by a vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, October 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Fr. Pasala Hruday Kumar officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Vivian Vivi Lopez was born April 6, 1954 in Loving, New Mexico to Ygnacio S. and Leonor (Dominguez) Lopez. He attended school in Loving and graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1973. Vivi lived in Amarillo, Texas for 11 years while working for Mikes Roofing and Construction and returned to Loving in 2002. He has worked for Onsurez Farms during the past 16 years. Vivi was an avid reader and loved going to the horse races. His love for animals was evident as he took great care of his pets and animals at the farm. Vivi was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elisema and brother, Vivian. Survivors are his sisters: Natalia Bautista, Teresa L. Morales, Margaret L. Onsurez and husband, Raul, Sylvia L. Urban and husband, Jim, Maxine L. Lopez and husband, Robert; brothers: Eusebio Lopez and wife, Rosa, Ramon Lopez and wife, Cuca, Ygnacio Lopez and wife, Joann; aunts: Natividad Tivi Dominguez, Isbell Dominguez and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his precious dogs, Estrella and Rito. Pallbearers are Gabriel Castillo, Raul Onsurez, Jr., Ramon Lopez, Jr., Jose Bautista, Albert Lopez and Carlos Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Vivis nieces and nephews.
