Vickie Ann Davis

Vickie Ann Davis, 71, of N. 3rd Street, Carlsbad, NM passed away February 7, 2025 at Carlsbad Medical Center.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Happy Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Thacker and Assoc. Pastor Mark Christesson officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

 Vickie was born November 21, 1953 in Carlsbad, NM to Herb and Billie (Martin) Gee. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1971. Vickie married Gary Davis April 6, 1974. She was trained as an x-ray technician and worked at the hospital for a number of years. Vickie then was a teacher at Bethel Christian School and later was the assistant activity director at Lakeview Christian Home. She was a gospel recording artist and loved ministering to many over the years. Vickie was dedicated to teaching VBS over 25 years through her music and comedy which brought numerous children to Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Nancy McIlwee and brother-in-law, Paul Mitchell.

 Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Gary Davis; son, Paul Martin and wife Rose; grandchildren: Katie Kidd and husband Jack, Aaron Martin; great-grandchildren: Kaleb Kidd, Sadie Martin, Tripp Martin; sister, Linda Mitchell; brother-in-law, Hugh McIlwee; sister-in-law, Linda Davis and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darren Lane, Bobby Christesson, Burt Burnell, Daniel Campbell, Leo Estrada and Benny Gonzalez.
