V. Janeice Johann, 74, of West Pecan Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Graveside Service is scheduled for Friday, April 17, 2015, 10:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Phillip Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. V. Janeice Johann was born February 16, 1941 to Charley Newell and Freda Pauline (Mizell) Knott. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and embroidery. Janeice also liked to watch the cooking network and sports. She was a long time member of the Southside Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Floyd Knott and sister, Charlene Harsh. Survivors are her daughter: Tammie Salameno and husband, Mike of Denver, CO; sons: Sidney B. Sanders, Jr. of Konow, OK, Rodney D. Sanders of Houston, TX, Shelby R. Johann of Denver, CO, Stephen J. Johann and wife, Christina of Whitewater, CO; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Williams and husband, Bill of New Braunfels, TX and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
