Troy D. Hatch

Troy D. Hatch, 75, of E. Rose, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away June 5, 2016 at his home. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Family will receive friends between 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, June 9, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Pence officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Troy D. Hatch was born December 16, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to T.J. and Opal (Ragsdale) Hatch, Sr. and moved to Carlsbad as a young boy with his parents. At the age of twelve, he went to work for Davis Bakery where he worked over twelve years. Troy married Wanda West July 30, 1959 here in Carlsbad. He worked in the mines, truck driving, construction and oilfield until returning to truck driving which he enjoyed most. Troy spent his retirement years traveling to flea markets throughout Southeast New Mexico and West Texas. He loved classic cars. Troy was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Vanessa B. Smith; brother, James Lee Hatch and sister, Lela Bernice Hatch. Survivors are his wife, Wanda Hatch of Carlsbad, New Mexico; son, Troy Lee Hatch and wife, Rhonda of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Robin Hatch of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Travis Lee Hatch, Sierra Cheyenne Hatch and Mikayla Danielle Smith; sister, Mary Curtis of Shallowater, Texas; brother, T.J. Hatch, Jr. of Lake Kent, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
