Transito B. "Wero" Ybarra, Jr., 69, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away August 22, 2009 at Tumbleweed Care Center in Brownfield, TX.
Visitation will be 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
A Prayer Service is scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2009, 7:00 PM at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Duran officiating.
Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Transito B. "Wero" Ybarra, Jr. was born December 26, 1939 in Terlingua, Texas to Transito G. and Marcelina (Baeza) Ybarra. He worked for Duval over 30 years. Wero enjoyed playing bingo and walking his dog, "Mijo". He was involved with Victory Outreach in Artesia where he loved singing. Wero was known for his generosity. He would give you the shirt off his back and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jose Ybarra; brother, Manuel Ybarra and Domingo Ybarra and sister, Olivia Rodrigeuz.
He is survived by a daughter, Stacy Ybarra of Lubbock, TX; brothers: Rocky Ybarra and wife, Chana of Carlsbad, NM, Johnny Ybarra and wife, Ora of Tucson, AZ, Luis Ybarra and wife, Sally of Tucson, AZ; sisters: Elva Muniz of Tucson, AZ, Julie "Chape" Huguenot of Tucson, AZ, Maria Franco and husband, Frank of Carlsbad, NM, Vickey Sanchez and husband, Johnny of Tucson, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Metola, Tony Medrano, Chuty Armendariz, Leo Alvarez, Adam Venagas and R. J. Ybarra.
