Toribio G. Carrasco, 85, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Monday, April 25, 2023, at the Carlsbad Medical Center. Toribio was born on April 16, 1938, in Presidio, TX to Guillermo and Erminia Carrasco.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary and Vigil at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Carlos Ramirez officiating. Interment will take place at the Loving Cemetery in Loving, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Toribio was preceded in death by his father, Guillermo S. Carrasco; mother, Erminia (Gonzalez) Carrasco; and three siblings: Urbano Carrasco, Regina Carrasco, and Lucy Gonzalez.

Toribio is survived by his three children: Martina Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM; Matin Gonzales of Carlsbad, NM; Maria Kafaty of California; ten grandchildren: Anthony Barron, Jacob Duran, Alliya Duran, Jordan Gonzales Methola, Violet Gonzales, Martin Gonzales, Jr., Axel Gonzales, Melonie Kafaty, Alexis Kafaty Porter, and Lorenzo Kafaty; seven great grandchildren: Ace Barron, Avaya Delacruz, Ariel Pineda, Sylvester Methola, Lilly Morquecho, Layla Morquecho, and Logan Kafaty Porter; four siblings: Catalina Carrasco of Silver City, NM; Socorro Saiz of Washington; Maria Fierro of Morgan Hill, CA; and Joe Carrasco and wife, Diana of Washington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
