Tomasa moved to Loving N.M. in the 1950’s and met the Love of her Life Felipe O. Villareal. Felipe and Tomasa were married September 3, 1960 where they purchased their forever home on Peachtree St. and continued to raise their growing family as a homemaker. Tomasa (AKA) “OGG” (the original gangsta grandma) could be found driving all around town in her Ford Ranger with all her grandchildren taking them anywhere they wanted to go as long as she could stop at Wendys for a bacon cheeseburger and fries, but the place you would find her most would be at the BINGO halls yelling BINGO!!!!!!!!! And let’s not forget she would never leave the house without her bright red lipstick and with her beautiful painted nails. Tomasa was tiny but mighty, very feisty & Spicy, and would be the first to back any of her children and grandchildren up in a flash of a second. Tomasa loved her Mexican music, enjoyed going to September 16th fiestas at the plaza, and visiting with her neighbors of 60 plus years Juana, Lupe, Rosa and Ethel. Tomasa was the 4th oldest out of 13 children. She adored her siblings even if it was shown with “tough love”. Anyone that knew Tomasa knew she would be the first to tell you how it is and didn’t care what you thought about it. Tomasa spent the last 4 years in Alamogordo with daughter Adela, husband Slick, and grandson Isiah. She lived her best life and they spoiled her rotten. Tomasa came back home to Carlsbad to be with all her children and grandchildren to spend her final months before being reunited with her parents, husband, daughter, daughter n law, and siblings. Tomasa lived a wonderful and blessed life of 86 yrs. Tomasa was very strong in her Catholic faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. Tomasa will be greatly missed by all and never forgotten. She gave us all such beautiful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. Tomasa was preceded in death by her parents, Helidoro & Reyes Navarro; husband, Felipe O.
