Tomas "Moose" Rojas

Tomas “Moose” Rojas, 42, of Carlsbad, NM left this earth October 1, 2021. Services will be held Saturday October 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Santa Catarina Cemetery. Pastor Luis Madrid will be officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service at the American Legion.

Tomas attended Carlsbad High School, where he participated in football, and made many friends. He loved to be outdoors, camping, swimming, and as some may know, he loved to write and draw. Tomas had a great love for music, and his children. He may have started his family young, but he was a devoted father. Tomas worked hard at anything he did. This man had a smile that would light up any room, and a heart that couldn’t love big enough. He never met a stranger, and helped everyone he could. He was protective of anyone that he loved, full of charisma and strength. Tomas impacted many lives within his time on this Earth. He is an unforgettable man.

He is survived by his mother Raquel Short and husband, Joseph Short of Carlsbad. Father, Tomas Rojas of Carlsbad. Sister, Dora Stoltzfus, husband, Dustin Stoltzfus, along with niece McKenzie Stoltzfus of Carlsbad. Daughter, Haley “Tootie” Rojas and his only granddaughter, Eden “Eddie” of Carlsbad. Eldest son, Tomas “Bubba” Rojas of Carlsbad. Son, Ryatt “Papa” Rojas, and daughter, Ilya Rojas of Roswell. Daughter Raydn Rojas, as well as sons of his heart, Casey Wyatt Hedrick and Colten Ryder “Mister” Hedrick of Carlsbad. Tomas will be greatly missed by many.
