Tomas R. Barraza, 66, of Elm Street, Loving, New Mexico, passed away November 24, 2009 at his home. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2009. A vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, 2009, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 27, 2009, 2:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will be at Dell Valley Memorial Cemetery, Dell City, Texas, Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Tomas R. Barraza was born December 19, 1942 in Colonial Luis Leon, Chihuahua, Mexico to Juan and Bernardina (Reza) Barraza. He worked for the Texas Highway Department for 24 years in the maintenance department. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lorena Barraza and brother, Victor Barraza. Survivors include his wife, Esperanza Barraza; two sons, Kevin Lee Green of Silom Springs, AR and Jesus G. Barraza and wife, Diana of Carlsbad, NM; one daughter, Teresa Barraza of Loving, NM; one step-son, Carlos Huerta and wife, Rachel of Odessa, TX; five grandchildren Jesus Noel Carillo Barraza, Ivan Alvarez, Jasmine Nicole Barraza, Lorena Marie Barraza and Karina Barraza; four brothers, Adolfo Barraza, Juan Barraza, Jr., Ancelmo Barraza and Vicente Barraza; two sisters, Conception Barraza and Anna Maria Barraza; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jesus Barraza, Adolfo Barraza, Juan Barraza, Jr., Ancelmo Barraza, Vicente Barraza and Jorge Flores; Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
