TL London was born on March 28, 1917, in Throckmorton, Tx. He was the 10th of 12 children born to Thomas Levi London and Mary Selman. When he was 4 years old, his family moved to a 40 acre farm in Loving, New Mexico. Some came by train, some by covered wagon. As was customary with his generation, he completed 8 years of schooling before working full time. He was a man who loved work. He regularly held down 2 jobs, often building houses before his shift at the Potash Company of America, where he worked for 40 years.
