Timothy Bryan Acosta

Timothy Bryan Acosta, 43, past resident of Carlsbad, NM passed away October 6, 2023 in San Mateo, CA.

A Rosary will be recited 9:30 AM, Friday, November 17, 2023 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez celebrating. Interment will follow at Santa Catarina Cemetery, Carlsbad, NM.

Timothy was born to Armando and Rosanne Acosta April 25, 1980 in Carlsbad, NM. He graduated with honors from Carlsbad High School in 1998. Timothy received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and after graduating he was chosen to work the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece where he was instrumental in providing the food service for the athletes. Upon his return, Timothy moved to San Diego California and worked in the hotel and restaurant management business for over 15 years. Tim loved music, dance, and spent much of his time enjoying the entertainment world of movies, television, and theater. Tim worked at the historic Old Globe Theater, where he was able to witness the production of many famous plays that toured the country. Tim touched the hearts of family and friends all over the world and was deeply loved and will be missed. Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brothers, Aaron Acosta, Jerome Acosta and wife Maya; nephew, Michael Parraz; nieces, Luna and Maya Acosta and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
