Theresa "Kim" Kimberly Vasquez

Theresa Kimberly (Kim) Vasquez, 43, entered heaven's gates to join her daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Villalpando on the evening of Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in Tomball, Texas. She was born in Carlsbad, NM on November 15, 1968, to Mary Vasquez and was later adopted by her father, Oscar Villanueva. She moved to Texas where she attended Tomball High School. Kim enjoyed reading, softball, bowling, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. During the last weeks of her time here on earth, she was surrounded by the company of her children, family, friends and loved ones, and also enjoyed relaxing by reading her favorite books and listening to her favorite songs from the 80's. Her spirituality and prayer life grew as she prepared for heaven's gates. Kim's soul lives through her mother, Mary Martinez; father, Oscar Villanueva; sisters: Jennifer Bennett and Grace Villanueva; her children: Tyler Villalpando and Cecilia Maria Ruiz; and her nieces and nephews: Gabby, Dominic, Sophia and Olivia. A vigil is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2013, 10:00 AM at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
