Tera Lynn Trujillo

Tera Lynn Trujillo, 50, of Carlsbad, NM passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the Carlsbad Medical Center. Tera was born on May 9, 1972, in Carlsbad, NM.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed online at dentonwood.com

Tera was one of a kind person, with a fiery personality. She loved hard, gave to others continuously, and had boisterous way of going through life. Caring for others and looking out for their wellbeing came natural to her. As an occupational therapist with Enhabit, she was able to positively impact countless lives. But above all, she fiercely loved her family. Her daughters were her world, and she loved being a softball mom. There wasn’t a single thing she wouldn’t do or go out of her to way to help those she loved. She will be dearly missed, and never forgotten.   

Tera was preceded in death by her father, Robert Trujillo; mother, Sallie (Parraz) Oney; maternal grandfather, Pete Parraz; step grandparents, Chalmer and Betty Oney; and uncle, Robert Parraz.

Tera is survived by her two daughters: Haley Florez of Frisco, TX and Aubree Ramirez of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Matthew Hiles and wife, Morgan of Las Cruces, NM; niece, Juliet Hiles and nephew, Evan Hiles both of Las Cruces, NM; maternal grandmother, Felicita Parraz of Carlsbad, NM; dad, John Oney of Carlsbad, NM; step siblings: Brian Oney of Orange City, TX; Sherrie Boston of Carlsbad, NM; Tracy Park and husband, Danny of Wendell, ID; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
