Ted Easter, 35, of Carlsbad, NM, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 in Carlsbad. Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home, 1001 N. Canal Street, Carlsbad, NM. There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Prairie Haven Chapel in Hobbs, NM. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, July 27, 2012, 2:00 PM, at Prairie Haven Chapel with Benny Greenlee officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Haven Cemetery, Hobbs, NM. Denton-Wood Funeral Home, 575-885-6363 in Carlsbad, NM is in charge of the arrangements. Ted Easter was born on June 20, 1977, in Hobbs, NM to Mark Easter, Sr. and Sharon (Hunt) Gilley. He grew up in Hobbs and moved to Carlsbad in 2011. Ted was currently employed with Eddie's Pumping Service. Ted was always a hard worker. He loved his daughter, Katy and enjoyed being with his family. Ted was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Elaine Easter; grandfathers: Dewey K. Hunt, Olen Easter and grandmother, Bonnie Easter. Survivors are his daughter, Katy Easter of Hobbs, NM; mother, Sharon Gilley of Carlsbad, NM; father, Mark Easter, Sr. of Hobbs, NM; three brothers: Mark Easter, Jr. of Hobbs, NM, William Easter and Clayton Easter, both of Fargo, ND; sister, LaSonya Roberts of Hobbs, NM; grandmother, Imogene Hunt of Hobbs, NM; niece, Nikki Roberts of Carlsbad, NM; nephew, D.J. Roberts of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Pallbearers will Mark Easter, Jr., Mikey Fitzwilliam, Brandon Mitchell, Red Newman, Angel Nabors, David Decarski. Honorary pallbearers will be D.J. Roberts and Jason Easter.
