Tammy Schierholt

Tamara Elizabeth (Pond) Schierholt, 80, of Carlsbad, NM passed this world to be with “Honey”, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Carlsbad Medical Center in Carlsbad, NM. Tammy was born on September 27, 1943, in Carlsbad, NM to John Albert Pond and Ada Marie Brummett.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Blodgett Baptist Church with David Prell officiating. Interment will follow at the Carlsbad Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM.

“Tammy” was a cosmetologist from the age of 18 until she retired at 71. She had a love for her dogs and became an obedience trainer that led to her traveling all over NM and TX for Dog Shows at which she received many awards, ribbons and trophies.

She loved with her whole heart her children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, as we have all said “she has the patience’s of Job”.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, John Albert Pond; mother, Ada Marie Brummett; husband, Lavoy “Honey” Schierholt; daughter, Nickolle Jay (Schierholt) Finn.

Tammy is survived by daughters: Lisa Marie Schierholt, Danielle Burton and husband Tony. Grandchildren: Cody Hicks, Rory Hicks, Corbyn Finn and partner Madisen, Myckah Finn, Justin Sherwood and Fiancé Crystal, Many Sherwood and Fiancé Quincy and Tammy Sherwood. Great Grandchildren: Haley Appenzeller, Jake Sherwood, Emily Sherwood, Jaqueline Sherwood, Serentiy Hodges and Jaxon Sherwood, Asher Hicks.
