Sue Ives

Sue Ives, 79, of Mission Avenue, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home. Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Sunset Church of Christ with Maxie Boren and Tim Boren officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Sue Ives was born October 13, 1936 in Carlsbad, NM to Travis O. and Ruby Frances (Moore) Ives, Sr. She graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1954 where she was in the band and attended Abilene Christian College. Sue worked for the Social Security Administration 30 plus years retiring in 2005. She was a charter member of Sunset Church of Christ. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jackie Lee Ives and niece, Sharon Boren Washburn. Survivors are her brother, Travis Ives of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Frances "Fran" Boren and husband, Maxie of Ft. Worth, Texas; nephews: Danny Boren, Jerry Ives and Timothy Boren; nieces: Marla Ives Rogers and Susan Boren Green; numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
