Stella Fry

Stella Fry, 90, former resident, passed away August 12, 2015 at Park Valley Inn Health Center in Round Rock, Texas. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Vigil is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2015, 11:00 AM, at St. Edward Catholic Church with Catholic Daughter's reciting. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Stella Fry was born December 22, 1924 in Pueblo, Colorado to Frank and Catherine (Pino) Roybal. She was born and raised in Colorado. She attended Mesa Junior College and worked as a nurse aide. Stella met Jack Fry and they were married in Montrose, Colorado on October 30, 1946. They moved to Carlsbad and started their family. She attended Nursing School and worked as an LPN for 35 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Frances Nursing Association, AARP and enjoyed her time serving on St. Edward Catholic Daughters Association. Stella enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters. Survivors are her son, Ronald J. Fry of Round Rock, Texas and daughter, Betty Roybal Crovello of San Pedro, CT; four sisters and one brother. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
