Sonny Duran Sing

Sonny J. Sing entered this life on July 1, 1968 and entered the heavens on January 5, 2017. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A vigil is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2017, 7:00 PM at San Jose Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 11:30 AM, at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Cordero officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Sonny had various jobs in Odessa, Texas where he lived most of his life. He loved both families with Becky Sing and Veronica Sing Alvarez. Sonny adored his Duran uncles and his Uncle Roy Sing. He was protective of his little brother Vic and his mother. Sonny loved oldies music and working on vehicles as he was a good mechanic. He treasured his family photo albums and carried them with him at all times. Sonny was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed football. Survivors are his children: Melanie Mata, Justin Sing, Jasmine Sing and Sonny Sing, Jr.; mother, Yolanda D. Sing; father, Victor M. Sing; grandchildren: Mariana Navarrette, Audriana Navarrette and Braelynn Cooke; brothers: Vincent Sing and wife, Nichole, Victor Sing, Jr. and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Vincent Sing, Victor Sing, Jr., Justin Sing, Sonny Sing, Jr. Gerald Duran and Rudy Duran. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
