Shelly Mock Bird, 25, former resident, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Roswell, New Mexico.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 2:30 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2015, 2:30 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John A. Burke officiating.
Cremation will take place after the service.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Shelly Mock Bird was born April 9, 1990 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Walter and Sandra (Owen) Mock. She grew up in Carlsbad and graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 2007. Shelly married Derek Bird on May 5, 2008. She was a homemaker and mother to their two precious children, Brennon and Kaydence. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Mock and grandfather, Tracy Montgomery, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Derek D. Bird and their children, Brennon and Kaydence of the home; mother and step-father, Sandra and John Gilliland; brother, Walter Mock; little sister, Alysa Clary; grandmother, Nita Montgomery-Clary; grandfather, Bill Owen and Wilma Sargent all of Carlsbad, NM; grandmother, Patricia Bushong of Roswell, NM; grandfather, Walter Mock, Sr. of Junction City, KS; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
