Sandra "Sandy" J. Teel

Sandra “Sandy” J. Teel, 71, of Roswell, NM passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. Sandy was born on November 20, 1951, in San Antonio, TX to Allie and Lanier Fox.

Sandy grew up in Roswell, NM and graduated from Roswell High School in 1970. She married Ron Teel on June 6, 1970. They raised three beautiful daughters together. Sandy had a long career working for Furr’s Grocery Store, Valley Federal Savings and Loans, and finally retired as a real estate agent working for Knapp Realty in Henderson, NV. She had the biggest heart, and she loved her family dearly. She would always attend the grandkids sporting events, being their biggest cheerleader. Sandy was known to be a great encourager, having a wonderful sense of humor, and the best laugh. She was the type of person who everyone, young and old, loved to be around. She treasured her friends and family, and they treasured her.

Sandy really lived! She had the best outlook on life and death, and she put her faith in Jesus. She truly had an unwavering strength throughout life. Sandy loved to shop until she dropped, go to the beach, fish at the lake, make her famous queso, eat Mexican food, watch football, travel, and organize events. She also loved to go to the casino to play Keno, the slots, bingo, and watch the horseraces. All of her life's accomplishments went towards her & Ron's home, her girls, and her grandchildren. They were truly her pride and joy!

Sandy organized the committee to plan the 1970 Roswell High School Class 50^th Reunion, which was her dream, until Covid hit and plans had to be delayed. After that time Sandy's health prevented her from traveling, but thankfully the Reunion still proceeded a year later, thanks to her and the committee's efforts.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Allie Morgan Fox.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Ron Teel; three daughters: Shanna Lynn Cain and husband, Denver of Roswell, NM; Tawnya Lanier Milana and husband, Kurt of Henderson, NV; and Natalie C. Bradley and husband, Matt of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren: Danielle Portillo (Beto), Lauren M. Bradley, and Gavin M. Bradley; mother, Lanier (Voigt) Fox; aunt, Mary Noonie Arnold; and several other extended family members and close friends.

The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Anthony Nguyen of Henderson, NV; she absolutely loved him and he gave her excellent tender-hearted care. Also, Heather Baker, the RN in Las Vegas, NV, who cared for Sandy over and above her regular scheduled working hours. Tara Carreon, Lovelace scheduler in Roswell, NM, who jumped through hoops for Sandy's care.
