Sam Campos, 68, of Westernway Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in El Paso, Texas.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 6, 2022 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.  Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at San Jose Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez officiating.  Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.

Sam was born November 5, 1953 in Carlsbad, NM to Angel and Sabina (Flores) Campos, Sr.  He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1972.  Sam married Gloria Pena June 26, 1972.  He worked as a mechanic, welder and fabricator throughout his career.  Sam loved cars and collected and worked on them for many years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Angel Campos, Sr.; granddaughter, Kimberly Perez and brother, Ricky Campos.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria Campos; sons: Sam Campos, Jacob Campos and wife, Delores; mother, Sabina Campos; grandchildren: Stella Perez, Monika Perez, Dezi Campos, Sevastian Campos, Aaron Campos, Misela Campos, Dylan Campos and Jonahas Sillas; great-grandchildren: Dev’N Elizondo, Noahlani Elizondo, Aaliyah Gonzalez and Olivia Guerrero; brothers: Angel Campos, Jr., Ray Campos, Bobby Campos, Abel Campos, Michael Campos; sisters: Lolly Thomas, Amelia Jaure, Lilly Marquez and numerous nieces and nephews.
