Sabino Y. Martinez, Jr., 58, of Ash Road, Loving, New Mexico, passed away October 2, 2009 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX. Visitation will be 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday, October 5, 2009 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Vigil is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2009, 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2009, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Loving, NM with Father Valentine Jankowski, OFM, Conv. officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Sabino Y. Martinez, Jr. was born September 23, 1951 in Loving, New Mexico to Sabino M. and Olidia (Ybaben) Martinez. His hobbies included cooking and gardening and providing for his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Martinez of Loving, NM; three children: Olidia Martinez of Carlsbad, NM, Sabino Martinez, III of Loving, NM, Lindsay Martinez of Loving, NM; two sisters, Beatrice Martinez of White City, NM, Celia Ponce and husband, Bobby of Loving, NM; brother, Samuel Martinez of White City, NM; two nephews: Christopher Martinez, Ezekiel Dominguez and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Sabino Martinez, III, Christopher Martinez, Benny Gonzales, Eric Cordova, Rodney Munoz, Rudy Munoz, Richard Perez and Victor Onsurez.
