Ruth C. Kerper

Ruth C. Kerper, 86, of Westridge Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 21, 2011, 2:00 PM, at Landsun Otto Chapel with Chaplain Larry Krueger officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ruth C. Kerper was born February 21, 1925 in Summit, New Jersey to John M. and Laura (Crowell) Kendall, Sr. She graduated from Summit High School in 1942. Ruth attended Stafford Hall Business School in Summit, where she achieved a secretarial diploma. She married Henry J. Kerper, Sr. in 1949. Ruth worked for Sandoz Pharmaceuticals as an executive secretary for many years before retiring in 1982. After retiring, she moved to Las Cruces and then to Carlsbad in 1995 where Ruth has resided at Landsun Homes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry J. Kerper, Sr. in 1972; son, Henry Kerper, Jr.; one brother and five sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Landsun Homes Caring Hands, 1815 Westridge Road, Carlsbad, NM 88220.
