Russell D. Wilson

Our deeply loved son and brother, Russell D. Wilson, 25, of Comanche Rd., Carlsbad, NM, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012. There will be no public visitation. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 9, 2012, 10:30 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Travis Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Russell D. Wilson was born December 13, 1986 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Randy D. and Kathy (McCullough) Wilson. He worked for Wilson Construction. Russell liked to ride motor cycles and enjoyed taking pictures. He liked hiking, spending time with family, camping and fishing. Russell accepted the Lord as his Savior when he was a young child. He is survived by his parents, Randy and Kathy Wilson of Carlsbad, NM; son, Hunter Shankle of Mississippi; two sisters: Shelly Lee and husband, Travis of Carlsbad, NM, Anna Wilson of Carlsbad, NM; maternal grandfather, Will McCullough; paternal grandparents, J.E. and Davina Wilson of Dialville, TX; paternal grandmother, Marie Bricker of Carlsbad, NM; nieces and nephews: Colten Lee, Kyler Lee, Cloe Lee and Zane Lee; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loving dogs: Luke and Nero. Pallbearers will be Jason Hayes, Brandon Bussell, Rowdy Wilson, Preston Wilson, Daniel Campbell and Gene Wilson. Honorary pallbeares are J. E. Wilson and Will McCullough.
