Rudy Saiz Ordunez, Sr., 62, of Portillo, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth, TX. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 29, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Fox & Lake Church of Christ with Philip Lairson officiating. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Rudy Saiz Ordunez, Sr. was born January 21, 1952 to Marino and Celestina (Saiz) Ordunez in Carlsbad, New Mexico. He was a life long resident of Carlsbad, New Mexico. Rudy retired from the City of Carlsbad where he worked as an Animal Control Officer. After his retirement he worked at Eddy County Detention Center, worked as a security officer and later worked for Forrest Tire. Rudy loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed bar-b-que's and watching football on Sunday. He was a member of Fox & Lake Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank Ordunez. Survivors are his children: Ron Ordunez and wife, Claudia of El Paso, TX, Lori Villegas and husband, Robert of Carlsbad, NM, Rudy Ordunez, Jr. of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Giovanny, Bianka and Giordan Ordunez, Mary, Macayla and Mariah Villegas, Aydin Ordunez; wife, Lorina Ordunez of Carlsbad, NM; sisters: Chelo Villa of Carlsbad, NM, Celia Briceno of Carlsbad, NM, Anita Martinez of CA, Cecilia Ramirez and husband, Catarino of Carlsbad, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Danny Ramirez, Leo Franco, Lionel Munoz, Richard Villa, Rudy Ordunez, Jr. and Ron Ordunez. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com.
