Juanita "Snooks" Young, 73, of Lamont Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 10:00 AM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Terry McKean officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Juanita "Snooks" Young was born November 19, 1937 in Tererro, New Mexico to Bert and Hazel (Willis) Titus. She married Harry R. Young on November 15, 1969 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Her hobbies included bowling and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents Bert Titus and Hazel Dodson; son, Justin Dodson; half-sister, Karen Brown; half-brothers: Bill Titus and Dennis Titus; son-in-law, Don Stevenson.
Survivors are her husband of 41 years, Harry R. Young of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Sherry Ann Stevenson of Jacksonville, Arkansas; two sons: Steven Clark and wife, Nina of Pekin, Illinois, Robert Clark of Wisconsin; step-son, Gaylon Young and wife, Tammy of Roswell, NM; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; step-mother, Dorothy Titus of Carlsbad, NM; two half-brothers: Don Titus and wife, Pam of Carlsbad, NM, Roger Titus and wife, Dusty of Bosque Farms, NM and numerous nieces and nephews.
