Ruby J. Neatherlin

Ruby J. Neatherlin, 78, of Monte Vista, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home. There will be no visitation. A Graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Jimmy Neatherlin, nephew, officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ruby J. Neatherlin was born March 8, 1934 in Crowder, Oklahoma to Charlie and Willie (White) Wise. She married Bennie L. Neatherlin June 29, 1953 in Carlsbad, NM. She loved to sew and collected dolls. Ruby was a member of Landmark Baptist church. She was "RuRu" to her grandchildren and she loved being with them. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Bennie L. Neatherlin of Carlsbad, NM; son, Bennie J. Neatherlin and wife, Donna of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Notha Stevens and husband, David of Carlsbad, NM; 6 grandchildren: Brian Stevens of Carlsbad, NM, Jesse Stevens and wife, Tiffany of Carlsbad, NM, Leslie Kingston and husband, Daniel of Albuquerque, NM, Leanna Furlow of Carlsbad, NM, Jodi Gregory and husband, Mark of Dallas, TX, Stacey Graves of Carlsbad, NM; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Roma Wilson and husband, Don of Tulsa, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Hank Thorp, Marc Thorp, Jeff Neatherlin, Joel Neatherlin, Brian Stevens and Jesse Stevens.
