R.Q. Ross

R.Q. Ross, 77, of Normandy Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 3, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Fox and Lake Church of Christ. Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors. Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. R.Q. Ross was born August 22, 1939 in Giard, Texas to Robert Jefferey and Flossie (Long) Ross. He moved to Carlsbad in 1966 and began work with the potash mines. R.Q. was a member of Fox and Lake Church of Christ. He loved keeping up his yard and doing woodwork. Survivors are his wife, Claudette Ross of Carlsbad, New Mexico; son, Mark Ross and wife, Norma of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Melissa Ross of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Dois Ross of Abilene, Texas; sister, Barbara Larson and husband, Chris of South Dakota; sister-in-law, Faye Ross Scott of Wichita Falls; grandchildren: Krissy Pryor of Carlsbad, NM, Braden Pryor of Ruidoso, NM Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
