Roycee J. Long

Roycee J. Long was born October 5, 2001, to Tiffawnie Young and Mark Long, Jr.

She grew up in Carlsbad enjoying things like competition dance and Cavegirl soccer where she had the chance to play with her Aunt Misty as her coach. While in high school, she was able to attend Eddy County Beauty College and receive her certificate as a licensed esthetician. Her 2020 graduation wasn't what she thought it would be, but in true Roycee fashion she made the best of it when all of her adoring family drove by to cheer her on. After graduation she moved to Albuquerque to attend classes at Central New Mexico Community College working towards a degree in business management, all while working full time and taking care of her sweet dog DUC. After 2 years, Roycee was ready for a change, so she moved to Texas and continued her education taking online classes. Roycee was determined to live her best life, and was ready for any new adventure that presented itself to her. She loved to sing karaoke "very badly", she loved to dance, and very recently loved to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. Her beautiful blue eyes, ear to ear smile, infectious zest for life and the way she lived it are going to be missed by so many. There is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

Left to mourn her loss are her mother, Tiff Tiff Young and husband, Jeff; father, Mark Long, Jr. and partner, Debbie; brothers: Paxton Long, Phillip Young and Wilson Murrill; sisters: Peyten Young and Tyra Murrill; grandparents: Bobbie Hale, Mark & Lonnie Long, Sr.; aunts: Misty Long, Christy Long and husband, Kendall, Devon Long; Uncle Shawn Hale and wife, Maria along with her "people": Alexus Vasquez & Delia Harris, and a plethora of additional family and friends.

Waiting to greet her in Heaven are her great-grandparents from both sides; her Opa Paul Hale and her cousins: Kevin Long and Seth Hale. Also patiently waiting to reconnect was Eustacia Visona. Those two are already up to no good and loving every minute of it.

So, in the words of Roycee, "Go live your best life! YOLO"

PS: Fun fact – Roycee's name came from a very special person, her Grandaddy Roy Charles Baker. So, close your eyes and in your best Grandmommy voice yell ROY C BAKER! And now you know.
