Roy T. Robinson went peacefully to be with his Lord & Savior on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Carlsbad Medical Center. Roy was born September 29, 1945 to Gracie Crowley Robinson and John Robinson. He attended CHS earning his diploma in 1963. After graduation he joined and proudly served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1963-1965. Roy wed the love of his life, Jodie Nunley in 1987. He was employed as a structural ironworker throughout Dallas and Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his mother Gracie; sister Barbara; niece Casey; son James and great-granddaughter Payton. Roy is survived by his wife Jodie; three daughters: Michelle Muir and husband Dean, Rhonda Brown and husband Phil of Rock Springs, WY and Shari Barnes and husband Blaine of Carlsbad, NM; one son Robert Lee Brim of San Antonio, TX; one sister Rada Alexander of Albuquerque, NM; eleven grandchildren: Nathan Spruell, Nile Spruell and wife Lacey, Kenny Muir, Tera Winward and husband Frankie, Josh Barnes, Stephen Brown, Derek and Spencer Barnes, Harley, Taylor and Olivia Brim; five great-grandchildren: James, Davaun and Mika Winward, Mariah and Liam Spruell; five nieces and nephews: Tommy, Andy, Toni, Kerri and Steve, along with a large extended family. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local VFW.
