Roy Henry, 57, of Redbud, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Carlsbad Medical Center.
A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 30, 2013, 10:00 AM, at Carlsbad Cemetery with Robert Armstrong officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Roy Henry was born on March 24, 1956, in Anderson, Indiana, to Arvel and Louise (Neel) Henry, Sr. He married Diana Gragg on January 26, 1973, in Phoenix, Arizona. Roy served his country in the U.S. Army. They moved to Carlsbad in 1984, where Roy began work on Brantley Dam. After his work on the dam was completed, he began driving a truck. Most recently Roy was driving for Sahara Trucking. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, David Crossland and brother, Tommy Henry.
Survivors are his wife, Diana Henry of Carlsbad, NM; daughters: Diana Crossland and husband, Kenneth of Carlsbad, NM, Lisa Page and husband, John of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Timothy Weems, Justin Weems, Sabrina Page, Michel Crossland and Shannon Page; sister, Eugenia Bemis of Carlsbad, NM; brother, Eugene Henry of Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
