Roy D. Haggerton

Roy D. Haggerton, 62, of N. Eddy Street, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in White City, NM. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David W. Rogers officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Roy D. Haggerton was born July 30, 1952 in Carlsbad, NM to Horace B. and Loreatha (Philpott) Haggerton. He graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1970. Roy went to work in the potash mines where he worked over 30 years. He married Vicky October 13, 2012 here in Carlsbad. Roy was most recently night security at White's City. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Art Haggerton. Survivors are his wife, Vicky Haggerton of Carlsbad, NM; sons: Keith Haggerton and wife, Mari of Las Cruces, NM, Brant Haggerton and wife, April of Johnstown, Colorado, Eric Haggerton of Carlsbad, NM; stepson, Dustin Mudgett of Carlsbad, NM; five grandchildren; brother, Butch Haggerton; sister, Louwana Curren.
