Roy Lee Baker

Roy Lee Baker, 47, of London Road, Loving, New Mexico, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014 in Odessa, Texas. There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29, 2014, 2:00 PM, at Loving Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Ryan officiating. Interment will follow in Loving Cemetery, Loving, New Mexico. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Roy Lee Baker was born June 29, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Billy Jack and Judy (Gulff) Baker. He worked in the oilfield for most of his life. Roy enjoyed fishing and a devoted dog lover. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Baker. Survivors are his mother, Judy Baker of Loving, NM; sisters: Tonye Baker Powel and husband, Gary of Loving, NM, Tracye Spears and husband, Jimmy of Carlsbad, NM; nephew, Cody Baker and wife, Elizabeth of Carlsbad, NM and great-niece, Kayleigh Shae.
