Obituary Roxanne "Roxy" Norman, age 56, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at her home in Carlsbad. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Mike Adams officiating. Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. She was born on February 13, 1964 in Carlsbad, to Bob and Carol (Fry) Norman. In 1984, she moved to Fort Smith, AR where she raised her 2 children and enjoyed a long career as a bartender. She returned to Carlsbad in 2015 to be with her children and grandchildren. Mom was a free spirit who never met a stranger. She lived life just as she wanted and everyone loved her for it. She embraced life and a had a knack for making any situation a fun one.Mom will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her spirit was one of a kind. She was a beloved mother, nana, sister and friend.Roxy was preceded in death by parents: Bob and Carol Norman and brother: Jimmy Dale Norman. Survivors are son: Michael Herring and wife Katey; daughter: Shonda Chavez and husband Jeffrey; brother: Bobby Norman and wife Amie; 7 grandchildren: Zane and Ava Chavez: Jacob and Brooklyn Herring; Hayley and Glenda Bricker; Ian Whiteley.
